Description

Camera: Nikon D50

This is a picture from last summer, made it in France during my holiday.
As you can see, this homeless guy was sleeping in a little park with his dog.
It was a quite difficult shot, because there was really much shadow because of the tree.
Think it worked out pretty well:)

Please share your thoughts with me, enjoy!

It's a great shot. It has a very nice balance.

The guys bags look pretty nice for a homeless guy. Maybe he's just on a cheap holiday.

Thanx Sandell:)
Well I can tell you, he was lying there when we went to the market (in the morning) and he still was when we went back (begin of the evening);)
So I think he is homeless, but maybe you're right:)

cool image, the colors are relaxing like that dude sleeping. and it blends well together(the combination of colors).i think the shadow works well on my point of view.

Sad....but very nice effective capture!!.....looks like it is a world wide problem.
Very good combination of elements....the tree , the benches the man and the dog......Hard to decide about a croppping....I would crop from the right a little, enough to eliminate the pot ....and some from the left trying to keep the tree off center.....but just my taste.
The colors are very good....maybe I also would try to increase a little the higlights with levels and or white selective colors.
Good work Chiel!

I really like the symmetry in this offset ever so slightly by just the man and his dog. good work.

a good shot, looks well exposed. I too would go for a crop perhaps from the left. The dead space on the left doesn't add anything significant to the photo.

Thanx for C&C:)
I already did some cropping in the image and I liked it this way, but maybe you guys are right!

Good composition Chiel... I don't think i would crop anything.
I agree with Carlos about the lighting...

Very nice pic. I like the composition, I think that adjust the contrast and the higlights a litle bit could be good. I see some noise in determinate areas maybe cause u used a high ISO, but it male the photo not clear at all.

Keep shooting.
